Kendall Johnson-Smith ’99 was an outstanding three sport athlete who arrived at ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ in the fall of 1995. During the fall season, playing for Jeff Pilgrim, she earned three letters as an impact player on three very good soccer teams that finished a combined 29-14-4 and qualified for the highly selective NEPSAC postseason tournament each year. In a rare accomplishment, she was awarded the program’s prestigious Alumnae Award during both her junior and senior year for her overall contribution to the program. During the winter she enjoyed a tremendous four-year career as an outstanding rebounding guard playing for legendary coach Ray Brown helping the team average nearly 18 wins a season and earning postseason bids each year. She served as a two-time captain and was named the team’s MVP during both her junior and senior year sharing the award with current hall of fame inductee Abby Ouimet (Wi-met). In the spring, she contributed to the softball program where she earned four letters playing for Kristen Mason. Without question, Kendall Johnson-Smith was one of the truly outstanding all-around athletes at ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ during the late 1990s.
